Irena Kvaliashvili-Irena Kay:" I got lucky that I was born in the family who belongs to art and music" - from her family tree Irena found out that all her family members, relatives, ancestors who were belong to the name of Kvaliashvili were artists or musicians and since her childhood Irena was always hearing music, Irenas father who is a composer, singer and he is a very good painter, he was always playing music for her.

When Irena was 2 years old, got lost in her house and when parents were looking for, they found her in a very dark room where she was sitting near the table and drawing, so this was Irenas first experience in drawing and she says: "still remember it what I drew, I called my drawing’ girls and flowers’. "

Irenas says: "first debut exhibition was at the age of 4, and of course at that time I could not understand what was happening, but I had a good feeling that people around me were very kind.

Since childhood she was getting an education in music, playing piano and was singing, but she was never getting any lessons in drawing, but she kept drawing all the time. One of the fascinating things was that at the age of 10 she was drawing strange faces and when parents asked who were they Irena was answering " I draw people from my previous life and I saw them" during her childhood Irena had many exhibitions with a great success.

When the time came up to choose profession, she had two choices either music either art, so Irena entered art State academy –design faculty. During studies one of the professors from academy stopped her and suggested to avoid her style of drawing and learn academic style painting, and this was right decision because it gave her a huge imagination how to mix her style with academic . Irena is a fashion designer, but she prefers graphic. Irena Kay: "In my drawings I was using an Indian ink. But when I came to England I did not have any staff to draw, so I started to draw with a pen and I kind of liked it and was kept drawing with a pen. The best time for me to draw is the night time and I always draw under music, I love classical music and I always listen and get inspiration from that. And the ideas are coming when I listen to music what to draw, it is very difficult to explain with exact words, but I would call it- it’s a magic.

In my drawings my heroes are from different world and they are coming through my hands and I make lines with this power.

I would like to say at the end that I still draw in the dark, what I was mentioning before and I am a lucky person that god gave me such ability to make something which makes me feel very good and makes people happy- who enjoy my works.
